Wool Strings is a solo project by Ryohei Ameda, from Kanagawa, Japan. He is influenced by João Gilberto, The Beach Boys and The Pastels. He started playing the guitar and recording his own songs when he was 15. After playing in some bands, he began releasing the tracks he had written under the name Wool Strings in May 2008. Wool Stringsとは、神奈川県在住のRyohei Amedaがソロで音楽活動するときの名義。 影響を受けたアーティストは、João Gilberto、The Beach Boys、The Pastelsなど。 15歳のときにギターを独学で始め、ほぼ同時期から自作曲の録音を始める。 バンド活動を経たのち、2008年5月より、それまで書きためた楽曲をWool Strings名義で発表し始める。
He plays, records and mixes all the instruments himself. When he has a live show, he usually plays in a band, helped by his friends. すべての楽器の演奏・録音・ミックス作業等を、自身で行っている。 ライブ活動は友人たちの助けを借りてバンド形態で演奏することが多い。
